I mostri (also known as Opiate '67 or, in a cut version, 15 from Rome) (1963) by Dino Risi is a cult film, which allows the audience, first, to understand some aspects (or stereotypes) of the so-called "Italian Identity" and, second, the contribution that "comedy Italian style" gave to elaborate the concept.
The original version is composed by 20 episodes, all starred by Ugo Tognazzi and Vittorio Gassman:
- 'L'educazione sentimentale' [video]
- 'La raccomandazione' [video]
- 'Il mostro'
- 'Come un padre' [video]
- 'Presa dalla vita' [video]
- 'Il povero soldato'
- 'Che vitaccia' [video]
- 'La giornata dell'onorevole'
- 'Latin lovers' [video]
- 'Test volontario'
- 'I due orfanelli' [video]
- 'L'agguato' [video]
- 'Il sacrificato' [video]
- 'Vernissage' [video]
- 'La musa'
- 'Scenda l'oblio' [video]
- 'La strada e' di tutti' [video]
- 'L'oppio dei popoli' [video]
- 'Il testamento di Francesco'
- 'La nobile arte' [video 1 and video 2]
