'Decameron Pie' by David Leland

Decameron Pie by David Leland will be released in Italy on Sept. 5 {trailer].
Italian producer Dino De Laurentiis praised Leland for ''getting in tune'' with Boccaccio's stories ["''Leland has written a wonderful, modern, intriguing script with the same themes that still strike a chord with the youth of today: love, sex and adventure,'' De Laurentiis said" Fiona Winward wrote], but the movie seems the last one of a long list of B movies or gross-out movies, to whom the Boccaccio's masterpiece is only a pretext.
It is interesting to read Abiura dalla Trilogia della vita, written by Pier Paolo Pasolini after the release of his own version of the Decameron [See also the introduction by Angela Molteni]
