Correggio a Parma (09/20/08 - 01/25/09) Galleria Nazionale - Camera di San Paolo - Chiesa di San Giovanni - Cattedrale

An exhibition dedicated to the great “painter of light” who was an inspiration to artists throughout the Renaissance and up to the Baroque. The project features several sections illustrating the artist’s training and development as well as the exchange with other artists of his time including Leonardo, Mantegna and Giorgione. The exhibition succeeds in revealing Correggio's artistic course from “invention” to “execution” through the comparison of his preparatory sketches and his finishes works.
