“Inferno” (1911), directed by Francesco Bertolini e Adolfo Padovan will be shown at Auditorium della Musica in Rome on Dec. 15, 2008
Inferno by Milano Films could be considered the first real feature film of the Italian cinema. Based on the Gustave Dorè's illustrations, it demanded 3 years of working, 150 actors, and a lot of money.
On the same year a homonymous movie was released by Helios Films.
The original silent film has been restored and had a new score by Tangerine Dream, a German electronic music group. It published a CD in 2002 and a DVD in 2004.
