La Santa Sede
The official website of the Vatican provides a wide range of research possibilities. Virtual tours of the Vatican museums are offered, and the Pope's most recent public addresses are available in multiple languages. There is also a built-in search engine with access to both the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana and the Archivio Segreto. LESSON IDEA: For upper level students. Assign presentations on some aspect of the Vatican culture, be it art, music, traditions during the mass, the nature and content of the Pope's sermons. This could make for a very interesting cultural lesson as well as present the very relevant theme of Catholicism in Italy past and present.
