Taormina Film Fest 2009 & the Cinema of the Mediterranean Through the Italian Lens (Taormina, June 14-28)

"The International Film Fest in Taormina, Sicily has been a renowned European tradition for the past 54 years and is one of the oldest established international film festivals in Italy. Over the years, the festival has introduced critically acclaimed films and hosted outstanding directors, producers, screenwriters and actors from around the world. Five of 2008's featured films and 8 of 2007’s films were nominated for Best Film Awards in their respective countries. Deborah Young, Chief International Film Critic for The Hollywood Reporter will again direct the festival in 2009."
