SalinaDocFest (Salina, 9/18/09-9/27/09)

"The SalinaDocFest, festival of the narrative documentary, created and directed by Giovanna Taviani, was born in 2007 with the promotion and the organizing collaboration of the Associazione Salina-Isola Verde and of the municipalities of Leni, Malfa e Santa Marina. It is by now a well-established appointment of the eolian archipelago. The event takes place in an itinerant path in the Island of Salina, which is Unesco heritage and the centre of the Isole Eolie, that are already renowned protagonists of the history of Italian cinema: from Stromboli to L'Avventura, from Vulcano to Kaos, from Il Postino to Caro diario, to get back to the end of 40s, when Alliata, Maraini and Moncada founded "Panaria Film", historical house of production mainly dedicated to the underwater documentary."
