The Royal House of Savoy: Padua and Italian Unification

The exhibition shows for the first time objects of great value owned by Princes, Princesses, Kings and Queens - jewels, porcelains, paintings, weapons, clothes and pictures.
The exhibition about the Royal House of Savoy is part of 150th Anniversary of Italian Unification. It will travel in Italy and finally it will show in Rome in 2011.
In 1861, when the Kingdom of Italy was declared, Venetia was still part of the Austrian Empire. Veneto [and Padua] joined Italy only in 1866, after the so-called Third War of Independence.
